Luís Gustavo do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaf Holm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natã Quintal in the 18th minute. Abu Bakar took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Gustavo do Nascimento. Gustaf Holm acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Valdo Diniz. Gustaf Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Tavares in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Stylus United's goalkeeper Gustaf Holm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Gustavo Botelho. In the 46thth minute of the game Carlos Fernando Albuquerque who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Venécia-ES's Luís Gustavo do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Natã Quintal made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdo Diniz to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Tālis Cam came free, but Luís Gustavo do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Abu Bakar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abu Bakar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 63 minutes into the game, Nova Venécia-ES's Dino Tavares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaf Holm made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Nova Venécia-ES's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Carlos Fernando Albuquerque scored to the left of an out of position Luís Gustavo do Nascimento, making the score, 1-4. The Nova Venécia-ES fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Nova Venécia-ES's Natã Quintal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo Botelho in the 89th minute of play forced Stylus United's goalkeeper Gustaf Holm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Fernando Albuquerque in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stylus United eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
