Brazil Academy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Periklis Vasilarakos scored to the left of an out of position João Couto, making the score, 2-0. João Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Esteves in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Vasco Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Mangueira came free, but Marcelo Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Marcelo Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinícius Esteves in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Couto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on Vasco Mineiro FC's corner André Luiz Pernambucano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Couto quite easily take care of the ball. André Luiz Pernambucano hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinícius Esteves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Durval Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Brazil Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Nunes couldn't finish the play. João Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Brazil Academy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
