The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's goalkeeper Gatis Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Viorel Leu. The audience was convinced that Viorel Leu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gatis Fernandes was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the game, Pankracy Siwy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gatis Fernandes. Pankracy Siwy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viorel Leu in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gatis Fernandes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viorel Leus short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Gatis Fernandes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Viorel Leu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes got control of the ball when Viorel Leu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gatis Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Leu in the 26th minute of play. Viorel Leu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gatis Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Marat Beroshvili got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gatis Fernandes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aron Chindriș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Hötte in the 32nd minute of the match. Gatis Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Leu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes got control of the ball when Pankracy Siwy tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Leu in the 41st minute of play forced Górnik Zabrze's goalkeeper Gatis Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Viorel Leu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Leu in the 46th minute of play. Gatis Fernandes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viorel Leu went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Viorel Leu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gatis Fernandes was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 71 minutes Górnik Zabrze's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulino Marin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Romeo Comarnescu getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Gatis Fernandes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viorel Leu's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Leu in the 76th minute of play. Gatis Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Marin in the 77th minute of play. Gatis Fernandes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Romeo Comarnescu. But to his dismay, Romeo Comarnescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Leu in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Górnik Zabrze's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Răcănel came free, but Gatis Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gatis Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Răcănel in the 91st minute of the match. Górnik Zabrze's Gatis Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Leu in the 93rd minute of play. Paulino Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gatis Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Górnik Zabrze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quim Bomba to maneuver through the defense. The GoooooooooooooooooooooooL fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Viorel Leu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL fully deserved thier win.
