Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Santa Jøker took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Tassoulis in the 6th minute of play forced SuRpRiSe's goalkeeper Hubert Kostka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sheriff's Clayton Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santa Jøker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute of the match SuRpRiSe got a corner. Sheriff's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ion Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Mate Us managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 19th minute Ulryk Chodzinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santa Jøker hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thodoris Tassoulis got free with Hubert Kostka in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Sheriff's Damaso Xacintu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hubert Kostka. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Sheriff defense, Santa Jøker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yahia van der Saar. The Sheriff fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yahia van der Saar should have stopped the shot. Yahia van der Saar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santa Jøker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Edmund Domaradzki threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sheriff's Natalio Dominguez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 47th minute Damaso Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Kostka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thodoris Tassoulis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. SuRpRiSe's Hubert Kostka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulryk Chodzinski in the 54th minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Clayton Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sheriff made a substitution. Anastasios Machlas replaced Thodoris Tassoulis. A collision led to Sheriff getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Clayton Gol hit a great ball. SuRpRiSe's Tanek Kazanowski shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yahia van der Saar but with some difficulty. Hubert Kostka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sheriff's Dragoş Bălace was substituted for Dagan Pavlovic. After 64 minutes SuRpRiSe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alejandro Rubin who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasios Machlas in the 66th minute of play forced SuRpRiSe's goalkeeper Hubert Kostka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubert Kostka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasios Machlas in the 70th minute of play. Yahia van der Saar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulryk Chodzinski in the 73rd minute. SuRpRiSe's Hubert Kostka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Xacintu in the 75th minute of play. Hubert Kostka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Sheriff's Damaso Xacintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hubert Kostka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Anastasios Machlas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Kostka was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. With a little luck, Sheriff's Yahia van der Saar got control of the ball when Santa Jøker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sheriff walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
