Hélio O'Connell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciudad Tao FC. After 5 minutes of play, Ciudad Tao FC's Tomas Ciudad made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio O'Connell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vincenzo Landa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Santo in the 12th minute of the match. Tomas Ciudad took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélio O'Connell. Hélio O'Connell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hélio O'Connell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Ciudad went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute of the match, Ferruccio Zarillo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vincenzo Landa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 29 minutes into the match, Maritek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Ciudad came free, but Hélio O'Connell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Ciudad in the 36th minute of play. Hélio O'Connell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Ciudad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joel Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Ciudad to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Ettore Santo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Vincenzo Landa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 56 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Lucente. Ciudad Tao FC made a substitution. Miron Zabel replaced Tomas Ciudad. A collision led to Maritek FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Filippo Lucente hit a great ball. Felice Tacco hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Santo in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vincenzo Landa saved Ciudad Tao FC from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Ciudad Tao FC got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Jönsson. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ciudad Tao FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrea Mariani was slow to take the kick. During this time Maritek FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Andrea Mariani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ciudad Tao FC's Vincenzo Landa did a great save. 70 minutes into the game, Ciudad Tao FC's Miron Zabel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélio O'Connell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Maritek FC's Tomás Moita was substituted for Ferruccio Zarillo. Maritek FC's Federico Ondino was substituted for Felice Tacco. Maritek FC's Hélio O'Connell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miron Zabel in the 78th minute of play. If Ettore Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélio O'Connell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osmar Goiano in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maritek FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joakim Vennerlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Ciudad Tao FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 90th minute, Andrea Mariani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Joakim Vennerlund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
