The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Gombal got free with Qi Guo Yue in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anders Ståhlman kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Dani Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Olguín in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Qi Guo Yue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 56th minute of the match. With 56 minutes on the clock, Patryk Bryk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Qi Guo Yue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezary Makomaski, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Cezary Makomaski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Qi Guo Yue was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
