A collision led to Lokomotiv Plovdiv getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Trifon Trúnkov hit a great ball. Avram Lupoaia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramūnas Lipskis kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Kostadinov in the 16th minute of play forced FC Žalia Giria's goalkeeper Vilmantas Matulas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Kostadinovs short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Vilmantas Matulas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, FC Žalia Giria's goal looked a bit too open when Nedko Telbizov came free, but Vilmantas Matulas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Bachiyski to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Bachiyski during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albert Bachiyski hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Saúl Gentiletti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biser Mihailov having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tzeno Budakov to maneuver through the defense. Biser Mihailov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Lupoaia in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Biser Mihailov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 42 played minutes FC Žalia Giria got a freekick which was hit by Hikmet Lebib. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emil Kostadinov made a kick off. FC Žalia Giria's Vilmantas Matulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Kostadinov in the 55th minute of play. Vilmantas Matulas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Kostadinov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Violet Skerlev got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vilmantas Matulas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Saúl Gentiletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biser Mihailov made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Jack Grealish sent off a good shot on target. When Saúl Gentiletti got free in front of the goal in the 64th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Biser Mihailov was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dovydas Varnas during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, FC Žalia Giria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dovydas Varnas to maneuver through the defense. FC Žalia Giria's Algitas Kimbartas was substituted for Dovydas Varnas. In the 72nd minute, Dovydas Varnas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Žalia Giria's Jack Grealish slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Biser Mihailov. That made the score 0-2 after 75 minutes of play. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Lokomotiv Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tzeno Budakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Biser Mihailov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Grealish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jack Grealish scored 0-3 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Biser Mihailov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Biser Mihailov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Grealish in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Neycho Loboshki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vilmantas Matulas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Parvan Vatashki hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Algitas Kimbartas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Biser Mihailov. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Algitas Kimbartas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramūnas Lipskis in the 95th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Biser Mihailov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilmantas Matulas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Kostadinov in the 96th minute of the match. FC Žalia Giria's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
