Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vatan Enfal in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Senin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Vatan Enfal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Aivo Viilop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Vatan Enfal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Senin was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Efrain Incendio made the kick off in the second half. Efrain Incendio kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton Mandrak came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Behe in the 93rd minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inter de Chillán's Anton Björnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Rius in the 96th minute of play.
