Guntademaro Macera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Fidensio came free, but Guntademaro Macera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Robledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Colle in the 15th minute of play. Benjamin Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Luis Sierra in the 24th minute of play. Bernardo Colle succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Adolfo Fidensio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manolo Robledo in the 40th minute of play forced Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Benjamin Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Fidensio scored 1-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guntademaro Macera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Viñe to make the kick off.
