Martinez Cines blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yaya Kunaefi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Canor in the 5th minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aguinaga Nebot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Canor's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahmat Aswatama in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Sentinel's goal looked a bit too open when Stefanos Terzopoulos came free, but Yaya Kunaefi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sentinel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Stefanos Terzopoulos scored to the left of an out of position Yaya Kunaefi, making the score, 1-0. In the 18th minute, Stefanos Terzopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Aguinaga Nebot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Canor in the 19th minute of play. Yaya Kunaefi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Reynolds in the 21st minute of the match. Aguinaga Nebot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Canor in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Saul Canor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sentinel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Canor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martinez Cines in the 42nd minute of play forced Sentinel's goalkeeper Yaya Kunaefi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saul Canor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Maftei made a kick off. Yaya Kunaefi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Maftei in the 61st minute of the match. Saul Canor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Aguinaga Nebot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esmeraldas S.C. made a substitution. Daniel Castillo replaced Martinez Cines. In the 65th minute Damian Maftei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaya Kunaefi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maftei in the 69th minute of play forced Sentinel's goalkeeper Yaya Kunaefi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Saul Canor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aguinaga Nebot. Esmeraldas S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Saul Canor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 82 minutes of play, Sentinel's Rahmat Aswatama made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aguinaga Nebot was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maftei in the 85th minute of play forced Sentinel's goalkeeper Yaya Kunaefi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Canor in the 87th minute of play forced Esmeraldas S.C.'s goalkeeper Aguinaga Nebot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ghitã Fratea's late challenge caught a Sentinel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ghitã Fratea helped the player get up and apologised. Ghitã Fratea kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Torsti Puistola pulled a muscle in his leg after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 92 minutes into the game, Rahmat Aswatama was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sentinel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esmeraldas S.C. the free kick. The supporters of Esmeraldas S.C. booed when Sentinel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rahmat Aswatama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Sentinel's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Maftei came free, but Yaya Kunaefi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle went the supporters of Sentinel were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Esmeraldas S.C. side.
