In the 17th minute, Raymundo Carilao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Cucao was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Guaberto Cucao came out and tried to block the shot, but Xaime Mac Gill slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 80th minute. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, José Ignacio Madina took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Guaberto Cucao to make any attempt to save it. Guaberto Cucao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaime Mac Gill in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Mainumby booed when Ornitorrincos F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ornitorrincos F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mainumby.
