In the 5th minute Adérito Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Vanneste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Brend Vanden Driessche recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Claudemiro Tristão. Brend Vanden Driessche showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Celso Eiró fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Vanneste having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Vanden Driessche in the 14th minute of play forced GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GD Almargense's attentive Marco Vieira managed to snatch the ball when Amador Azailla made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, GD Almargense's Callum Doyle got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the game, Adérito Pinheiro landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 24 minutes into the game, Amador Azailla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limburg United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GD Almargense the free kick. In the 24th minute, Amador Azailla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27thth minute of the game Celso Eiró who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limburg United's Julius Vanneste was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Limburg United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Eanes was slow to take the kick. During this time GD Almargense's players had a chance to rest. GD Almargense's Celso Eiró was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julius Vanneste in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dušan Vlahović struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Julius Vanneste didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GD Almargense. Claudemiro Tristão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Jonckers in the 31st minute. Amador Azailla got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kieth De Hond. Julius Vanneste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Eiró, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Brend Vanden Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brend Vanden Driessche in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudemiro Tristão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amador Azailla was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 46 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Amador Azailla. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Limburg United! The referee gave GD Almargense a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Celso Eiró, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Limburg United's Julius Vanneste. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jason Jonckers was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Eiró came free, but Julius Vanneste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Celso Eiró managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GD Almargense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celso Eiró was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. GD Almargense made a substitution. Carlos Vides replaced Arnau Martínez. In the 65th minute of the match, Dušan Vlahović got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julius Vanneste was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlos Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julius Vanneste read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Dušan Vlahović hit a great ball. Julius Vanneste took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudemiro Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Jonckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julius Vanneste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Vides in the 87th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Carlos Vides put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Julius Vanneste. In the 93rd minute Joško Gvardiol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Vanneste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jason Jonckers in the 96th minute of play forced GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play, Limburg United's Jason Jonckers made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudemiro Tristão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 99th minute, Brend Vanden Driessche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 100th minute, Dušan Vlahović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
