Kenneth Foldnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Barnaba Klucznik made a huge save. Olav Øverby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tymoteusz Bartochowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Jakub Lamczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olav Øverby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes, Brzeźnica Lynx's Daniel Sienkowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olav Øverby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brzeźnica Lynx reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tor-Egil Arntsen was the one to do the kick off. Ziemowit Balonek scored 1-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olav Øverby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Olav Øverby managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Brzeźnica Lynx's Jakub Lamczyk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th match minute, Brufoss IL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Ytterstad to maneuver through the defense. Barnaba Klucznik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bastian Ytterstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Barnaba Klucznik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Ytterstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brzeźnica Lynx walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
