With a little luck, Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo got control of the ball when Iurie Avacariței tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 11 played minutes Iurie Avacariței rounded Stellenbosch's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. FC Oltul Slatina's Gaudencio Ubarna got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Stellenbosch got a freekick which was hit by Juan Fernando Quinteros. In the 24th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iurie Avacariței to maneuver through the defense. Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flóki Cabezudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Stellenbosch's Fidel Martxelin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Lovinescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Pelayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 37 minutes of play, Stellenbosch's Fidel Martxelin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Lovinescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Avacariței in the 39th minute of play. Ilie Leahu made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by 程烨瑜. Stellenbosch's Pedro Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Ubarna in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iurie Avacariței stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Fidel Martxelin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
