The audience was convinced that Ugutz Munet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip Molland was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Brufoss IL's Kasper Munkvold got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31stth minute of the game Kasper Munkvold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Ortegano's Pio Falla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Brufoss IL's Sture Hægeland got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Williams. After 35 played minutes, Deportivo Ortegano's Generosb Cetina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Philip Molland came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Ortegano reached it. Markus Braseth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Pio Falla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Teresa's late challenge caught a Brufoss IL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Teresa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Deportivo Ortegano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Teresa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lertxun Oliver in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Molland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Brufoss IL lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
