Denis Txomin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute Jacobo Abechuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Fidensio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Zelaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gallo Moron the free kick. Edelmiro Erroman kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Blas Claris was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saturnino Astigar was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Gallo Moron's Santiago Gaizko threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Saturnino Astigar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Saturnino Astigar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santiago Gaizko having to make a save.
