Isac Muntian's late challenge caught a Montesacro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Muntian helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Isac Muntian got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Egil Sjögren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rouven Nussli having to make a save. Rouven Nussli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egil Sjögren in the 4th minute of the match. Champions Iasi's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Palermo in the 8th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Giacomo Casanova successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Sjögren came free, but Rouven Nussli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldemar Gierlach got free with Giacomo Casanova in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Montesacro FC's Egil Sjögren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rouven Nussli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Muntian in the 15th minute of play forced Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giacomo Casanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Gierlach in the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova got control of the ball when Waldemar Gierlach tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Egil Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute Egil Sjögren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Nussli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Montesacro FC's Egil Sjögren made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rouven Nussli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egil Sjögren in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rouven Nussli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egil Sjögren in the 33rd minute of play. Giacomo Casanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isac Muntian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Sjögren came free, but Rouven Nussli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montesacro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Basarab Alexandru scored to the left of an out of position Giacomo Casanova, making the score, 1-1. Giacomo Casanova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 minutes of play, Montesacro FC's Egil Sjögren made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rouven Nussli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldemar Gierlach made a kick off. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Zăreanu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 59th minute, Fabian Zăreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giacomo Casanova was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After a rather tough play, Montesacro FC's Juliusz Julien got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Zăreanu in the 64th minute of play. When Champions Iasi's Stefan Pieters in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montesacro FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pontus Fagrell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giacomo Casanova having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Egil Sjögren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rouven Nussli. That made the score 2-3 in the 76 minute of play. Egil Sjögren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rouven Nussli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Pieters in the 86th minute of play. Egil Sjögren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Rouven Nussli made a huge save. Giacomo Casanova showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Muntian, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Egil Sjögren came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Montesacro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egil Sjögren couldn't finish the play. The Montesacro FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
