Matias Dimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 8th minute of the match. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Pan Jian Yong elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pan Jian Yong in the 21st minute of play forced Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalkeeper Matias Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Lions United got a corner. Sporting Westmeerbeek's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gao Cheng Yun ran over to the corner to take the kick. Roque Aguilar scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steve De Wilde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck Hodson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luck Hodson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Westmeerbeek getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luck Hodson hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Matias Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lions United's Steve De Wilde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Lions United from getting a goal against them. Matias Dimo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Lions United's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Sarangapani. In the 45th match minute, Lions United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Eleazar to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Sporting Westmeerbeek got a corner. Lions United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dean Rutgeerts ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pan Jian Yong was the one to do the kick off. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington Andrade in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Matias Dimo managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Lions United's Pan Jian Yong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 55 minutes, Pan Jian Yong made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Westmeerbeek's Matias Dimo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th play minute Pan Jian Yong came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Matias Dimo. 1-3. Edward Cranenburgh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Steve De Wilde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pan Jian Yong scored 1-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Dimo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Dimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pan Jian Yong, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Pan Jian Yong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Dimo. Sporting Westmeerbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pan Jian Yong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Sporting Westmeerbeek made a substitution. Jacque De Brouwer replaced Roque Aguilar. 82 minutes into the match, Sporting Westmeerbeek's goal looked a bit too open when Pan Jian Yong came free, but Matias Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lions United's Steve De Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieter Degraef in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Pan Jian Yong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Dimo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lions United were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Sporting Westmeerbeek's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gao Cheng Yun took the corner. Matias Dimo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pan Jian Yong's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lions United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
