Bedrettin Özguven might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Suarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedrettin Özguven ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldomero Suarez was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Bedrettin Özguven capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bedrettin Özguven really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Amado Arotza got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldomero Suarez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bedrettin Özguven in the 18th minute. Baldomero Suarez made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Bedrettin Özguven sent off a good shot on target. Dolfo Burgo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lanús's Augusto Oliviero. But to his dismay, Augusto Oliviero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bedrettin Özguven blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomero Suarez having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, Lanús's goal looked a bit too open when Bedrettin Özguven came free, but Baldomero Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® booed when Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bedrettin Özguven in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Suarez saved Lanús from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Oliviero to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Augusto Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dolfo Burgo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhou Hong Jie hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Rodrigo Lauro in the 57th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Benjamim Maia. The crowd rose to their feet as Augusto Oliviero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dolfo Burgo. That made the score 1-2 in the 61 minute of play. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Dedê Moura was substituted for Mattæus Landsiggaard. 69 minutes into the match, Augusto Oliviero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dolfo Burgo. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Oliviero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Bedrettin Özguven might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Suarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bedrettin Özguven ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Le Tissier in the 85th minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Dolfo Burgo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Maia to maneuver through the defense. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lanús's performance. The match ended with a win for Lanús.
