Dadá Rossi made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fedele Panza however managed to control. In the 23rd minute, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eugenio Manfredi. Eugenio Manfredi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Eugenio Manfredi made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Andy Cole sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lunatics of Arianrhod's zone, Andy Cole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Manfredi came out of the goal and Andy Cole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Panza in the 37th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eugenio Manfredi. Eugenio Manfredi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Andy Cole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Eugenio Manfredi made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernesto Martini to strike the kick off in the second half. Andy Cole might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Manfredi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Cole's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Manfredi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Cole came free, but Eugenio Manfredi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugenio Manfredi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andy Cole's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. The supporters of Lunatics of Arianrhod booed when Floresta Negra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Floresta Negra FC's Harris Zoolingen was substituted for Milen Kúlvachev. In the 72nd match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugenio Manfredi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, Henry Hamberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Lunatics of Arianrhod defense, Jardel Lewandowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Manfredi. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Manfredi should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Ernesto Martini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Floresta Negra FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
