An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Agüero in the 3rd minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Ladislao Cordarius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Programayin's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Donostia came free, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Saurio hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Nick Heesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georg Hagberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Agüero in the 34th minute of the match. Programayin's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Donostia in the 42nd minute of play. Ernst Melis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Programayin's Jackson Fügli was substituted for Sergio Agüero. In the 47th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Melis to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pastor Donostia made a kick off. If Pastor Donostia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ágætis Byrjun's Ditlev Delmont was substituted for Pastor Donostia. 62 minutes into the match, Programayin's goalkeeper Hans-Jürgen Pötscher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Heesen. Ágætis Byrjun's Nick Heesen got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Heesen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 79 minutes, Ansu Fatić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Programayin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ansu Fatić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nick Heesen came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hans-Jürgen Pötscher could save by the left post. In the 83rd minute Ágætis Byrjun were awarded a corner. Ladislao Cordarius went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in Programayin's zone, Nick Heesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher came out of the goal and Nick Heesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Georg Hagberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Nick Heesen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hans-Jürgen Pötscher. The goal made the score 0-3. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Michael Roebuck got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Ansu Fatić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Hagberg having to make a save. Ágætis Byrjun's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
