If Meng Di Jun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Dezassete's Miguel Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save FC Dezassete from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute Florinio Vivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Deportivo Alianza Lima. got a corner. FC Dezassete's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gualterio Notes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Dezassete's goalie and right to Timeteo Bocos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Dezassete's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 23rd match minute, FC Dezassete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florinio Vivera got free with Miguel Marin in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deportivo Alianza Lima.'s Gualterio Notes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miguel Marin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florinio Vivera was the one to do the kick off.
