An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Ziombkowski in the 31st minute of play forced Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valentin Bernal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörn Svartengren got free with Valentin Bernal in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd minute Dagoberto Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Valentin Bernal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Lorenzo Acutain quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gilson Matorin, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Jörn Svartengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Valentin Bernal made a huge save. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Inter de Guayaquil FC for a fine match.
