When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Enrique Cassaretto took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu to make any attempt to save it. When FFC Merainies 03's Komen Schotte in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Municipal's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pepijn Hummel in the 15th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FFC Merainies 03's Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Boukjan Bunt notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of CD Municipal's George Forsyth. George Forsyth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Bruno Marceau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tulio Andinyach in the 25th minute of play. CD Municipal were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after FFC Merainies 03's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iacob Roman took the corner. CD Municipal's Iacob Roman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Komen Schotte in the 31st minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of CD Municipal's goalie and right to Leon Craandijk. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. CD Municipal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Enrique Cassaretto sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Tulio Andinyach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 54th minute of play. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match CD Municipal got a corner. FFC Merainies 03's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iacob Roman ran over to the corner to take the kick. 64 minutes into the game, Bruno Marceau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. George Forsyth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FFC Merainies 03 made a substitution. Gertjan Engbers replaced Jörgen Kjellqvist. CD Municipal made a substitution. Oalo Dean replaced Zlatan Molina. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, George Forsyth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 76th minute Pepijn Hummel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Oalo Dean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Job Gasteren in the 87th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Craandijk in the 90th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Oalo Dean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, CD Municipal could leave the field as winners, despite FFC Merainies 03 having more of the ball for most of the match.
