Ali Orhan Nurkan charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ali Orhan Nurkan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Furkan Gurbet, was totally fooled by Çanakkale's İsmail Cem Eroğlu, who 5 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee showed Fabian Deput the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Çanakkale getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Fabian Deput hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Mustafa Necati Başok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökmen Çoğa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Furkan Gurbet managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Çanakkale's Fabian Deput fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 17 minutes into the game, Sarı kaya FK's Bekir Çolakoğlu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gökmen Çoğa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Furkan Gurbet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kadim Yağızbay in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Çanakkale's Dudu Guerra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Furkan Gurbet. Furkan Gurbet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Gökmen Çoğa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Necati Başok, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gökmen Çoğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bekir Çolakoğlu in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Çanakkale's goalkeeper Gökmen Çoğa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 minutes of play, Çanakkale's Dudu Guerra made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Furkan Gurbet was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gökmen Çoğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Necati Başok in the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Çanakkale got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Guerra. In the 58th match minute, Çanakkale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kadim Yağızbay to maneuver through the defense. Çanakkale were furious when Sedat Özender was red carded, 60 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Çanakkale fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! Çanakkale:s Gökmen Çoğa showed great skill when he stopped Mustafa Necati Başok:s penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Sarı kaya FK's zone, Kadim Yağızbay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Furkan Gurbet came out of the goal and Kadim Yağızbay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 minutes, Daryl Dixson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarı kaya FK and the Çanakkale players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 65 played minutes Sarı kaya FK got a freekick which was hit by Daryl Dixson. After a defensive mix-up in Sarı kaya FK's zone, Fabian Deput stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Furkan Gurbet came out of the goal and Fabian Deput tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Deput in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Furkan Gurbet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute Mustafa Necati Başok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gökmen Çoğa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute Sarı kaya FK were awarded a corner. Mustafa Necati Başok went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mustafa Necati Başok got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gökmen Çoğa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Necati Başok in the 87th minute of play forced Çanakkale's goalkeeper Gökmen Çoğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Çanakkale support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
