Horia Anisie was slow to take the kick. During this time ACF Fiorentina's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Martin Vellito got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelino Flor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet as ACF Fiorentina's Maximino Cabezon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelino Flor. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 17th minute, Danilo Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Federico Kalinowski. ACF Fiorentina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Yu Jian Tian might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Kalinowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yu Jian Tian ran back to his position shaking his head. Federico Kalinowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Jian Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Federico Kalinowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Jian Tian in the 24th minute of play. If Yu Jian Tian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Federico Kalinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Jian Tian in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Maximino Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yu Jian Tian scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Federico Kalinowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the match, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Yu Jian Tian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Federico Kalinowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Maximino Cabezon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelino Flor, 2-2. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Federico Kalinowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximino Cabezon to make the kick off. ACF Fiorentina's Martin Vellito got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, ACF Fiorentina's Federico Kalinowski got control of the ball when Yu Jian Tian tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Yu Jian Tian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Federico Kalinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Jian Tian in the 56th minute of the match. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Marcelino Flor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 58th minute of play. Federico Kalinowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yu Jian Tian in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Maximino Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Hildeberto Carvalho replaced Saturnino Michael. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Teofilo Galtero was substituted for Danilo Gerber. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Ovidio Marin was substituted for Wen Hai Le. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ made a substitution. ACF Fiorentina's Federico Kalinowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Sand in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Gabriel Gaufred ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Flor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 88thth minute of the game Hernán Leandro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Marcelino Flor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute of the match ACF Fiorentina got a corner. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Horia Anisie ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ! Marcelino Flor had in the 98thth minute some difficulties stopping Anselmo Luar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Anselmo Luar did an outstanding performance 98 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-3 to the right of an irritated Marcelino Flor in the goal. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
