A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Guido Dalmai hit a great ball. 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when Anton Gertsyk elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Theo Fil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qin Kun Xi in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Qin Kun Xi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Barcelona Lassa's Theo Fil. Theo Fil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the game, Anton Gertsyk lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Narciso Frechoso. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona Lassa's zone, Qin Kun Xi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Fil came out of the goal and Qin Kun Xi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Radamel Falcao recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Narciso Frechoso. Radamel Falcao showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Falcao in the 35th minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo Fil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qin Kun Xi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Velez sarsfield getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Valentin Lico hit a great ball. The long shot by Tobiasz Dubiel in the 43rd minute really tested Narciso Frechoso's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Gertsyk came free, but Narciso Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Gertsyk to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Barcelona Lassa getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Radamel Falcao hit a great ball. Qin Kun Xi struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Theo Fil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez sarsfield. In the 57th minute of the match, Qin Kun Xi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Theo Fil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Theo Fil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Pico in the 67th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Benjamin Orixe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velez sarsfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona Lassa the free kick. After 75 played minutes Velez sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Orixe. Narciso Frechoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radamel Falcao in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona Lassa's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Pico came free, but Theo Fil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Pico in the 78th minute of play forced FC Barcelona Lassa's goalkeeper Theo Fil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anton Gertsyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, Velez sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Gertsyk came free, but Narciso Frechoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Barcelona Lassa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tobiasz Dubiel in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on FC Barcelona Lassa's corner Tobiasz Dubiel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Narciso Frechoso quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Velez sarsfield's Raphael Leo got a free kick in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejo Larra got free with Theo Fil in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 minutes FC Barcelona Lassa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabio Regis who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the FC Barcelona Lassa defense, Walter Pico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Fil. The FC Barcelona Lassa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Fil should have stopped the shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
