Edmondo Melone ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Koller got free with Doni Dracena in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vseslav Andreichyk in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Korneliusz Rasimowicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 44 minutes into the match, Deportivo Ortegano's Jan Koller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doni Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
