Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Enzo Luongo got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Luongo in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes in the game, Enzo Luongo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 16th minute, Alessio Tarquini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 17 minutes, Carlo Mazzone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puianello FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Mazzone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Enzo Luongo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Puianello FC's Darrel Pennington tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Bruno Antognoni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Göksel Taşdan. After some careless play in the Puianello FC defense, Enzo Luongo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darrel Pennington. The Puianello FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darrel Pennington should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Italy's Enzo Luongo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enzo Luongo in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Darrel Pennington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Mazzone to make the kick off. The supporters of Italy booed when Puianello FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Tarquini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enzo Luongo took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darrel Pennington. Darrel Pennington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göksel Taşdan in the 60th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Bruno Antognoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Luongo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darrel Pennington saved Puianello FC from getting behind. Enzo Luongo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Italy made a substitution. Armando Natalucci replaced Enzo Luongo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Natalucci in the 85th minute of play forced Puianello FC's goalkeeper Darrel Pennington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amedeo Di Lullo in the 91st minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Bruno Antognoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Angelo Esposito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Antognoni. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Antognoni should have stopped the shot. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
