In the 18th minute Ricardo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Allison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Murilo Ferreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Ricki Dresager came free, but Murilo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Cactos got a corner. Buritama Sports's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Yepes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Murilo Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricki Dresager in the 32nd minute of play. Murilo Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricki Dresager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricki Dresager in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Ferreira saved Buritama Sports from getting behind. In the 40th minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Alexsandro Aguiar made the kick off in the second half. If Ricki Dresager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Murilo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricki Dresager, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 59 minutes into the match, Cactos's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Aguiar came free, but Bran Allison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cactos made a substitution. Coronel Camba replaced Conrado Capixaba. Buritama Sports's Albertinho Vinhas was substituted for Ricardo Dias. Cactos made a substitution. Buritama Sports's Doriva Souto was substituted for Wang Wei Sha. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Buritama Sports's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Yepes was slow to take the kick. During this time Cactos's players had a chance to rest. 77 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Maciel came free, but Murilo Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Ferreira came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Cactos's Luisinho Maciel. But to his dismay, Luisinho Maciel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matias Gaitan got free with Murilo Ferreira in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Doriva Souto got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Bran Allison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Matias Gaitan struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Murilo Ferreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cactos. 91 minutes into the match, Coronel Camba notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Buritama Sports's Murilo Ferreira. Murilo Ferreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cactos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
