Marcelo Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovânio de Medeiros having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Feios Porcos E Maus's goal looked a bit too open when Tenorio Cuerva came free, but Antero Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovânio de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Parlapidis in the 13th minute of the match. Geovânio de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Aveiro in the 14th minute of play. But to his dismay, Ayoví Villavicencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alexandre Aveiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Geovânio de Medeiros could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Aveiro got free with Geovânio de Medeiros in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Aveiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arturo Azpiazu's late challenge caught a Feios Porcos E Maus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Azpiazu helped the player get up and apologised. 52 minutes into the game, one of Club Puerto Quito:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Feios Porcos E Maus a penalty, 53 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baltasar Caneira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Club Puerto Quito's Geovânio de Medeiros. 1-2. Geovânio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Aveiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Aveiro in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio de Medeiros saved Club Puerto Quito from getting behind. Club Puerto Quito's Geovânio de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takis Parlapidis in the 77th minute of play. Marcelo Nunes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Ayoví Villavicencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Puerto Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ayoví Villavicencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antero Linhares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
