An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Prestes in the 5th minute of play forced Sheriff's goalkeeper Yahia van der Saar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heide FC's Iwan Dziuma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Gol in the 7th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Heide FC's Yahia van der Saar threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Bejrut, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Heide FC's Iwan Dziuma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Polizos in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Julian Bejrut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yahia van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Sheriff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sancho Denner to maneuver through the defense. Yahia van der Saar was a little too slow when Lázaro Prestes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th minute, Lázaro Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Yahia van der Saar. Sheriff's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The throw-in from Witold Hodyl in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sheriff's Alejandro Rubin. Iwan Dziuma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clayton Gol's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After 35 minutes Sheriff's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bogumil Zarobski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Bogumil Zarobski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Yahia van der Saar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 37 minutes into the match, Heide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Dominguez came free, but Iwan Dziuma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Heide FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Natalio Dominguez was slow to take the kick. During this time Sheriff's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Gol in the 40th minute of play forced Heide FC's goalkeeper Iwan Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwan Dziuma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clayton Gol in the 42nd minute of play. Kevin Õnnepalu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Sheriff's attentive Alejandro Rubin managed to snatch the ball when Bogumil Zarobski made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Gol in the 58th minute of play forced Heide FC's goalkeeper Iwan Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Teobald Scislowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th match minute, Heide FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Scislowicz to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Sheriff's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Sakowicz came free, but Yahia van der Saar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
