The audience thought a goal was coming when Toro Murillo got free with Gavino Olo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the match, Margarita's goal looked a bit too open when Eliott Pépin came free, but Gavino Olo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Santa Fe's Eliott Pépin in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Margarita's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Higinio Urti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santa Fe's Shao Jing Yuan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 16th minute Gualterio Romo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Jing Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Hélio Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Santa Fe's Mauricio Montes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavino Olo. Gavino Olo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Teofilo Lain kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Rik in the 30th minute of play forced Margarita's goalkeeper Gavino Olo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Olo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Bertol in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Santa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Montes. In the 46th minute Venancio Bertol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Olo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Santa Fe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Róbert Jánosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Shao Jing Yuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Olo was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 75 in the game by Higinio Urti from a close distance when the talented Shao Jing Yuan managed to make a qualified save. Santa Fe's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Margarita's Felipe Carlomagno got a free kick in the 77th minute.
