Healey Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Vedillo in the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes BERMEJO got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Vedillo. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when BERMEJO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Canor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1948 MKS's Bowie Scully got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tady McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Urdin having to interfere. When Conrado Vedillo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BERMEJO's protests and gave Conrado Vedillo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to BERMEJO getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Conrado Vedillo hit a great ball. When Birr Lester fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1948 MKS's protests and gave Birr Lester a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Birr Lester got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Conrado Vedillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. BERMEJO's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Vedillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Healey Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Severino Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eoghan Barrett scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Virgilio Urdin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute, Tady McNamee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Urdin was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Patrick McPhil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patrick McPhil really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eoghan Barrett stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Eoghan Barrett made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. BERMEJO's Virgilio Urdin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eoghan Barrett's late challenge caught a BERMEJO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Brain McBjarton got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The BERMEJO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Urdin should have stopped the shot. If Patrick McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1948 MKS's Eoghan Barrett got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Severino Nikola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BERMEJO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1948 MKS the free kick. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when BERMEJO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Nikola didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th match minute, 1948 MKS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geary Delaney to maneuver through the defense. Healey Harkin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sebastian Senio. After 92 minutes, Theobald Tierney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1948 MKS and the BERMEJO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eoghan Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Virgilio Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1948 MKS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
