After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Chillán's zone, Jilian Oosters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal and Jilian Oosters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugenio Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Björnberg having to interfere. Efrain Manny charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Efrain Manny the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Piquirenda FC got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Manny.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Abeita to make the kick off. Tobías Izamit kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Piquirenda FC's goalkeeper Didi Papardelas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vatan Enfal. 58 minutes into the game, Tobías Izamit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter de Chillán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piquirenda FC the free kick. After 59 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Tobías Izamit. Piquirenda FC made a substitution. Roberto Iratze replaced Jilian Oosters. Piquirenda FC's Severiano Ibañez was substituted for Laureano Abeita. Tobías Izamit hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Mercurio San Martín kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Bernal in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Piquirenda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 麦翀瑜 to maneuver through the defense. 麦翀瑜 hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Piquirenda FC's Benigno Claus got a free kick in the 69th minute. Tobías Izamit, 70 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Samuel Abel's late challenge caught a Piquirenda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Abel helped the player get up and apologised. Samuel Abel kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match, Eladio Araujo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Didi Papardelas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 74th minute, Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Didi Papardelas. Severiano Ibañez might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Björnberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severiano Ibañez ran back to his position shaking his head. Piquirenda FC's Didi Papardelas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Piquirenda FC from getting a goal against them.
