If Zhu Chao Guang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Orzaize in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Orzaize in the 25th minute of play. Jonas Haram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Chilavert having to interfere. Zhuo Yu Yuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhu Chao Guang, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Catarinense F.C. defense, Daniel Orzaize kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Chilavert. The Catarinense F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Chilavert should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Catarinense F.C. booed when Rage F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sisebuto Pezoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Gabirel made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Domingo Cavallo. With a little luck, Catarinense F.C.'s José Chilavert got control of the ball when Jonas Haram tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Catarinense F.C.'s Georgiy Voroshilov was substituted for Sergio Verdi. José Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Orzaize, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes in the game Amarante Sierra did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Zhu Chao Guang.
