Horaţiu Bacalbașas short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Stanislaw Tyszka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lionel Mesías's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Brudzisz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Abílio Severiano could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Stanislaw Tyszka however easily saved by the left post. Stanislaw Tyszka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Bacalbașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Gebrüdersdorfer SV's Lionel Mesías, in the 15th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Mesías in the 46th minute of play forced Bacardi Black Bats's goalkeeper Artur Brudzisz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gebrüdersdorfer SV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hermenegildo Rebelo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leandro Calçada was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Bacalbașa in the 94th minute of play forced Gebrüdersdorfer SV's goalkeeper Stanislaw Tyszka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
