After taking down the ball on El Gallo de Moron's corner Teofilo Garrote fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardino Dimas quite easily take care of the ball. Bernardino Dimas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 16th minute. Luisinho Laguna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardino Dimas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Leigh Trusswell hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Luisinho Laguna took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bernardino Dimas to make any attempt to save it. In the 28th minute, Luisinho Laguna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardino Dimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Roman Tebaldo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Luisinho Laguna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Bernardino Dimas made a huge save. A wasted opportunity for El Gallo de Moron. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Inautzi in the 46th minute of play. Roman Tebaldo's late challenge caught a El Gallo de Moron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Tebaldo helped the player get up and apologised. Luisinho Laguna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Bernardino Dimas made a huge save. El Gallo de Moron's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Garrote in the 49th minute. El Gallo de Moron's Teofilo Garrote was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernardino Dimas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisinho Laguna to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisinho Laguna in the 60th minute of play. Roman Tebaldo made in the 62nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelino Inautzi immediately put the ball in play. Bernardino Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Laguna in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Luisinho Laguna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardino Dimas was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Humberto Francesco was substituted for Gustav Högström. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 83rd minute of play. Edelmiro Endura hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. El Gallo de Moron made a substitution. Pierre Le Saint replaced Luisinho Laguna. If Sebastian Quin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Dimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Le Saint, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Pierre Le Saint cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Bernardino Dimas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. El Gallo de Moron's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
