Ulrich Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jabier Garavito, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Hörmann during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pius Zurflüh hit a great ball. Holfenhein's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Lorenzo Toral scored to the left of an out of position Ulrich Haas, making the score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Büchel made a kick off. Spor Las Huevas's Bitxintxo Fururia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Spor Las Huevas from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Büchel got free with Bitxintxo Fururia in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Holfenhein's Ulrich Haas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jabier Garavito in the 58th minute of play. Bitxintxo Fururia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Wagner, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Spor Las Huevas getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Teodor Combarros hit a great ball. Holfenhein's Muhammet Cakir shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bitxintxo Fururia but with some difficulty. 69 minutes into the match, José Büchel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bitxintxo Fururia. Spor Las Huevas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Büchel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 76 minutes into the match, Holfenhein's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Toral came free, but Ulrich Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Dominguez Vizcaino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Muhammet Cakir came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Holfenhein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhammet Cakir couldn't finish the play. After 82 minutes of play, Spor Las Huevas's Mede Torriba made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulrich Haas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bitxintxo Fururia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Büchel in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valerio Elkuch in the 90th minute of play forced Spor Las Huevas's goalkeeper Bitxintxo Fururia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
