Grigore Pacurar started the match with the kick off. Panait Emilianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Burutzagi in the 5th minute of the match. Panait Emilianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Burutzagi in the 6th minute of play. Sporting Royal's Panait Emilianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Burutzagi in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Pacurar in the 11th minute of play forced Northern California's goalkeeper Fidel Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Northern California got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Santo. Felix Stolniciu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fidel Hernando firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 21st minute, Carmelo Oihan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Stolniciu scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Hernando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Adam Novac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Grigore Pacurar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fidel Hernando. That made the score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. When Sporting Royal's Grigore Pacurar in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Northern California's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cătălin Crușeveanu got free with Fidel Hernando in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grigore Pacurar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Policarpio to maneuver through the defense. Northern California's Angel Teofilio got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angel Teofilio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Tănăsocă to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Sporting Royal's Mihăiţă Beniuc seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mihăiţă Beniuc the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sporting Royal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mihăiţă Beniuc had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Grigore Pacurar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fidel Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Crușeveanu in the 71st minute of play. When Luisito Txurio fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northern California's protests and gave Luisito Txurio a yellow card for diving instead. Northern California's Fidel Hernando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Pacurar in the 77th minute of play. Luisito Txurio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Costin Băcioiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Royal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costin Băcioiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sporting Royal's Grigore Pacurar in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Northern California's goalie prevented a goal. 87 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Cătălin Crușeveanu came free, but Fidel Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Pacurar in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidel Hernando saved Northern California from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Angel Teofilio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Panait Emilianu. The goal made the score 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sporting Royal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Northern California had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
