Viorel Iacobescu dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 11th minute U21 Romania were awarded a corner. Sorin Dragușin went to the cornerflag to take it. Cristian Voican showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Iacobescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Viorel Iacobescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Cristian Voican when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ciprian Caba managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Romania's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciprian Caba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niculae Rădvan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Aurel Teodoroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ciprian Caba put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Niculae Rădvan. The crowd rose to their feet as FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Nicolae Bosioc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristian Voican. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. A collision led to FC PIETROSUL -MM- getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Filip Braia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciprian Caba in the 38th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Niculae Rădvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Bosioc came free, but Cristian Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolae Bosioc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Voican read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Tudor Manolescu kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Aurel Teodoroiu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Voican was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Dan Burdujan replaced Filip Braia. The wind increased when Ciprian Caba made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, U21 Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Bosioc came free, but Cristian Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Nicolae Bosioc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Voican saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Romania's Cristian Voican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Halipa in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of FC PIETROSUL -MM- booed when U21 Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Manolescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Cristi Ciprian was substituted for Viorel Iacobescu. After a rather tough play, U21 Romania's Tudor Manolescu got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 89thth minute of the game Cristi Ciprian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Romania's Cristian Voican was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Ciprian Halipa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Voican was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Aurelian Odobescu got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Cristi Ciprian notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of U21 Romania's Cristian Voican. Cristian Voican was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC PIETROSUL -MM- walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
