After 16 minutes of play, El Retorno de Palermo's Hilario Mikeldi made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Doyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 19 minutes, Angelino Bernard made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Philip Doyle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Philip Doyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Izotz in the 22nd minute. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballybunion Celtic F.C.! 34 minutes into the match, Angelino Bernard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Doyle. Hilario Mikeldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Philip Doyle made a huge save. Philip Doyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Braedon Moran came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedon Moran couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ballybunion Celtic F.C. defense, Angelino Bernard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Doyle. The Ballybunion Celtic F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Doyle should have stopped the shot. After 66 minutes of play, El Retorno de Palermo's Hilario Mikeldi made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Doyle was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the match, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Mikeldi came free, but Philip Doyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Doyle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Bernard in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Bernard in the 72nd minute of play forced Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goalkeeper Philip Doyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Philip Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Bernard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, El Retorno de Palermo's Filiberto Fidele got control of the ball when Baydan Prunty tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ballybunion Celtic F.C. booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Pauric Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
