Olimpia Buzau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laykers the free kick. Laykers's Angelo Colle was substituted for Diego Perazzolo. Olimpia Buzau's Ernest Gâfu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Lalli in the 69th minute of play. When Corrado Pollastrini fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laykers's protests and gave Corrado Pollastrini a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Laykers's Corrado Pollastrini got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, Laykers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Rondinelli to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Laykers had won after a very even match.
