Thanks to some nice moves Zoltán Tálas could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Falco Pruischer however easily saved by the left post. The audience was convinced that Zoltán Tálas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falco Pruischer was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Falco Pruischer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zoltán Tálas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bon Scott in the 12th minute of play forced KINGS FC's goalkeeper Leal Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Jānis Blūms got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 17 minutes into the match, KINGS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bon Scott came free, but Leal Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tor-Egil Gjertsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Who Ate All Depay's Jeremie Frimpong got a free kick in the 46th minute. With an all-out effort, KINGS FC's Falco Pruischer threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jānis Blūms, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Roel Ravenbergen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Falco Pruischer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Calçada in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, KINGS FC's Leal Simões got control of the ball when Roel Ravenbergen tried to sneak it across the goal line.
