Cícero Montenegro made a great header on Galo do Japi's corner, it was just that Stardust Unicorns XI's Ulf Skoog managed to reach the ball for a save. Cícero Montenegro scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulf Skoog, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stardust Unicorns XI's Ulf Skoog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Cefero in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Catarinense in the 18th minute of play forced Stardust Unicorns XI's goalkeeper Ulf Skoog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stardust Unicorns XI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Falcão Duarte was slow to take the kick. During this time Galo do Japi's players had a chance to rest. Galo do Japi's Falcão Duarte was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ulf Skoog in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Delfim Chaves got control of the ball when Roman Jakes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stardust Unicorns XI's Wen Zhi got a free kick in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Stardust Unicorns XI's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Cefero came free, but Ulf Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delfim Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Jakes, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 45 played minutes Stardust Unicorns XI got a freekick which was hit by Roman Jakes. Roman Jakes charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Jakes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Stardust Unicorns XI's Roman Jakes got a free kick in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Fernandinho Botelho got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute, Wilfredo Cefero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulf Skoog. The goal made the score 0-4. Ulf Skoog made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Wilfredo Cefero sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Skoog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Botelho in the 67th minute of the match. Galo do Japi were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Stardust Unicorns XI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Falcão Duarte took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Stardust Unicorns XI's goalie and right to Cícero Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Stardust Unicorns XI's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 73rd minute, Wilfredo Cefero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulf Skoog was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Fernandinho Botelho hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. If Alphan Özdoğan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Stardust Unicorns XI's Roman Jakes got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute Joel Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandinho Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Stardust Unicorns XI supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Galo do Japi's performance. The match ended with a win for Galo do Japi.
