The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Marcelino Lacalle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4thth minute of the game Jago Štriker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gençlerbirliği's Marcelino Lacalle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muharrem Sebih in the 5th minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falcão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Sebih in the 6th minute of play. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Gracie Barra from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Muharrem Sebih kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falcão Cunha. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Marcelino Lacalle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Bento Aleixo scored 2-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Augusto Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha got control of the ball when Sümer Müjdat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gracie Barra were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Gençlerbirliği's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thiago Silvan took the corner. Cafer Korcan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Falcão Cunha made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Gençlerbirliği's zone, Jago Štriker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Lacalle came out of the goal and Jago Štriker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Gençlerbirliği defense, Augusto Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelino Lacalle. The Gençlerbirliği fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Lacalle should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jago Štriker made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Cafer Korcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Muharrem Sebih shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Gracie Barra got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Luther. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Kristen Michálek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Falcão Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelino Lacalle came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gracie Barra's Jago Štriker. But to his dismay, Jago Štriker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Gracie Barra's Murphey Shipman was substituted for Pedro Velloso. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafer Korcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Marcelino Lacalle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo de Queirós. Şamil Sağman kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. A hard shot 73 in the game by Ke Feng Zhen from a close distance when the talented Marcelino Lacalle managed to make a qualified save. Gençlerbirliği's players were relieved. Hugo de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Marcelino Lacalle made a huge save. After 75 minutes Gençlerbirliği's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thiago Silvan who took care of the corner kick. Ke Feng Zhen made a great header on Gracie Barra's corner, it was just that Gençlerbirliği's Marcelino Lacalle managed to reach the ball for a save. Marcelino Lacalle made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Hugo de Queirós sent off a good shot on target. The corner led Gracie Barra's Şamil Sağman to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelino Lacalle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Sümer Müjdat came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Constantijn Airpoel kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Falcão Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantijn Airpoel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Gracie Barra's Murphey Shipman got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muharrem Sebih in the 93rd minute of the match. Marcelino Lacalle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ke Feng Zhen in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
