The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedrinho do Valle hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho do Valle in the 13th minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to ZORZAL01 getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ermegildo Hitz hit a great ball. Gregorio Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Fontes in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Benjamin Firmo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Samuca Bezerra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Bartolome in the 32nd minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Samuca Bezerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felipe Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 played minutes Rondinone F.C - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Coutinho. After a rather tough play, ZORZAL01's Benjamin Firmo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Tiaguinho Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ZORZAL01 made a substitution. Nemesio Etxekopar replaced Victoriano Bembe. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Luís Eduardo Arce made the kick off in the second half. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho do Valle in the 55th minute of play. Mauricio Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho do Valle in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Pedrinho do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauricio Maura was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Everardo Calvino kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Rondinone F.C - FDFDF booed when ZORZAL01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Calvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Eduardo Arce might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauricio Maura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Eduardo Arce ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Luís Eduardo Arce got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mauricio Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Mauricio Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho do Valle in the 93rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's Samuca Bezerra got control of the ball when Rafael Leocadio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 1-1. Extra-time would have to be played.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Benjamin Firmo made the kick off and play began. In the 107th minute, Tiaguinho Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 110th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Rondinone F.C - FDFDF getting a freekick after 115 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Arce hit a great ball. Samuca Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Leocadio in the 116th minute of play. The Rondinone F.C - FDFDF players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

The players looked a little tired but resolute before the second half of the overtime, where Luís Eduardo Arce took the kick off. ZORZAL01 were furious when Apolo Dalmau was red carded, 120 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 119 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ZORZAL01! The ZORZAL01 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
