In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sheffield FC1857's goalkeeper Paiboon Permpol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Claes Fender managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claes Fender was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paiboon Permpol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 18 minutes of play, Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Claes Fender made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paiboon Permpol was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Gavril Stejaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sheffield FC1857 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 24 minutes into the game, Rabia Ünal threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sheffield FC1857's Komkrit Monkeaw quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sayan Kitiwinit in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Montez saved Hala Madrid Iraki FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Sayan Kitiwinit sped through Hala Madrid Iraki FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruben Montez. Paiboon Permpol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Fender, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

André Kuipers kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sayan Kitiwinit scored 3-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Montez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Ruben Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thani Mettarikanon in the 58th minute of play. Ruben Montez came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Sheffield FC1857's Reginald Muggleton. But to his dismay, Reginald Muggleton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claes Fender got free with Paiboon Permpol in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th match minute, Hala Madrid Iraki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Gallarde to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Marcelo Gallarde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sayan Kitiwinit in the 74th minute of play forced Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper Ruben Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Johannes Sjögren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paiboon Permpol. That made the score 4-4 in the 92 minute of play. A collision led to Hala Madrid Iraki FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Johannes Sjögren hit a great ball. Thiradet Jutaviriya took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruben Montez. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Johannes Sjögren succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-5 in the 98th playminute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hala Madrid Iraki FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
