The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paul Ogot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Andersson in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörn Holm in the 26th minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoffer Modig made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Charles Wambui sent off a good shot on target. In the 32nd minute Ingemar Jonasson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, David Kogo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Oakcroft Thrashers's Jörn Holm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Ogot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Jonasson in the 41st minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Wanjiru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Christoffer Modig made a huge save. The Tatooine Local Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oakcroft Thrashers were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingemar Jonasson to strike the kick off in the second half. Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Andersson in the 51st minute of play. Oakcroft Thrashers's Christoffer Modig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fazul Mwaura in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Ekeberg in the 54th minute of play forced Tatooine Local Club's goalkeeper Paul Ogot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fredrick Ntalami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Anders Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Wambui came free, but Christoffer Modig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Jörn Holm suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Oakcroft Thrashers's Tage Mattsson was substituted for Jörn Holm. In the 69th minute, David Kogo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Paul Ogot throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ingemar Jonasson in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Christoffer Modig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fazul Mwaura, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Tatooine Local Club defense, Anders Andersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Ogot. The Tatooine Local Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Ogot should have stopped the shot. Christoffer Modig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Myles Khayeshe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Fredrick Ntalami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoffer Modig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Oakcroft Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Fazul Mwaura came free, but Christoffer Modig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Michael Kimutai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 minutes, Dennis Wanjohi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tatooine Local Club and the Oakcroft Thrashers players grew even worse after the yellow card.
