In the 2nd minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lyle Coppack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Levent Hicran came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Lyle Coppack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Mei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samir Afacan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Anacleto Geofredo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabinho Bastos, made in the 30th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Mei got free with Samir Afacan in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 32 minutes into the game, Carlos Mei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Samir Afacan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 38 minutes into the game, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Carlos Mei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samir Afacan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goalkeeper Samir Afacan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Mei. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Levent Hicran to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Afacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trey Cai hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, San Mauro A Mare FC's Marcus Hastings got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute, Cristiano Patricelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samir Afacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Mei in the 62nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, San Mauro A Mare FC's Lyle Coppack threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tony Rosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Samir Afacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Levent Hicran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Lyle Coppack made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Rosa came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Lyle Coppack successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lyle Coppack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Graziani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Rosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lyle Coppack came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Rosa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 94th minute. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Adrián-Daniel Dobre replaced Ediberto de Queirós. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Mauro A Mare FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely.
